The Dedication of R. Charlton’s Coffeehouse
November 20, 2009
To help preserve our pre-Revolutionary history of food and drink, MARS, Incorporated announced that its American Heritage line of Chocolate, Coffee & Tea will be available in the only 18th century coffeehouse in the United States.
When Colonial Williamsburg celebrated the opening of R. Charlton’s Coffeehouse, it was a major event. Historic interpreters, broadcast journalists, and leaders from both Colonial Williamsburg and MARS Incorporated were all there. The dedication took place on a crisp November day - ideal weather to introduce a place where visitors can sample delicious cups of American Heritage coffee, tea and chocolate.
All this is exciting news for chocolate lovers and history buffs alike.
