Melissa Russell joined charity: water in 2024 to serve as global President, leading the operations and teams that have helped provide clean and safe water to over 20M people around the world. Previously, she served at International Justice Mission as President, North America, and Global Chief Revenue Officer. Melissa has led US and global organizations to raise more than $1.5B during her career and serves as a Principal Advisor at Clarity Co., advising nonprofit executives on revenue strategy. Melissa holds a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in the DC area with her husband and two boys.
