Aliza Bran is the Director of Media Relations at the International Spy Museum, a nonprofit institution in the heart of Washington, DC. She started with the Museum at its Penn Quarter location and spearheaded the massive public relations effort around the May 2019 move and re-opening of its re-imagined exhibits at the new building in L’Enfant Plaza. During her almost decade with the nonprofit, she has built a reputation of results-driven output, focused tenacity, and collaboration. As a result, in concurrence, her role has grown to encompass social media and broader aspects of communications.
A strong advocate for mission-driven storytelling, she enjoys devising comprehensive multi-pronged strategies that marry earned (PR) media and owned (social) media to share brand initiatives, news, and announcements, as well as respond to real-world events and trends.
Prior to her time at the Museum, she worked in PR on the agency side for clients in the museum, health, government, and nonprofit sectors. And for the last two years, she has served as a Co-Chairman of the Communicators Team at the National Press Club, a storied institution dedicated to building a vital media/communications community and supporting global press freedom.
She’s a proud Washington University in St. Louis alumna and is originally from the DMV.
