Kwasi Hope is a trained historian turned popular content creator whose museum videos have captured millions of views and sparked a new wave of interest in history among Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
As the creator and host of Hidden History, Kwasi travels across the country uncovering the untold stories behind America’s historic sites, museums, and local landmarks. His short-form storytelling—equal parts educational and entertaining—has helped cultural institutions rethink how they engage younger visitors online and in person. His museum-focused videos have over 6 million views across TikTok and Instagram and have been featured on NBC, PBS, and NPR.
Before launching Hidden History, Kwasi worked in marketing at the Ohio History Connection, leading statewide marketing initiatives for more than 50 historic sites and museums. He also served as a site interpreter for the National Park Service at the Frederick Douglass Historic Site and served in advisory board leadership roles at the Library Company of Philadelphia and on the Nominating Leadership Committee for the American State and Local History Association.
Kwasi earned his B.A. in History from The George Washington University and his M.A. in Museum Studies from The Cooperstown Graduate Program. Based in New York City, he continues to bridge the gap between history, heritage and the social media generation.
