About the Event

In 2021 HCS went digital! We know that gathering together to learn new best practices, as well as sharing what each of our members has gleaned through strategic insights and trial and error is one of the main reasons Forest E. Mars, Jr. created this group of thought leaders. We also know that there is strength in numbers, and we are dedicated to making this space available to our valued partners, bringing in the best speakers and new ideas we can curate as the environment around all of us shifts and changes.

To that end, this year we brought back Colleen Dilenschneider as our Keynote Speaker. Chief Market Engagement Officer at IMPACTS Research and author of the popular website, Know Your Own Bone, Colleen explored the new realities of audience engagement for history organizations in a post-pandemic world. We also heard from an august group of our member’s peers on how they pivoted during the closures of COVID-19. Caroline Klibanoff, Managing Director of Made By Us, shared the coalition’s progress, as well as the launch of an exciting new initiative, Civic Season. And Mike Italia, brand marketing and digital content leader for Mars Wrigley shared audience engagement strategies across the social media sphere.
